I love that, most of the time, he was genuinely just an arsehole who didn’t give a shit about anybody else or their drama. And then he’d do something when nobody was looking like sign with Reese, or care for his ugly dogs, or breakdown over Lucy, or buy Elizabeth ice-cream and pizza after a long surgery, that showed you that maybe there was something more there.
